What a mirror actually is
A mirror is a copy of a website on a different domain. For a casino, an official mirror is the same platform — same account, same balance, same history — reached through another address. The difficulty for a player is that a mirror looks exactly like the original, so a fake copy built to capture passwords and card details looks exactly the same too.
Why access can be blocked
In regulated markets, sites without a local licence can be blocked. In Portugal, for example, online gambling is licensed by SRIJ (Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos) of Turismo de Portugal, and operators not on its list are not authorised to serve players there. How to spot a fake mirror
Look at the domain letter by letter; phishing copies swap or add characters. Check that the connection is encrypted, but remember that a padlock only proves encryption, not identity. Be suspicious of any site that asks you to "re-verify" your card, sends you a one-time code you did not request, or offers a bonus that is unusually generous. If in doubt, close the page and type the address you already trust.
Access blocked: the safe options
Wait and retry if it is an outage. Contact the operator's support through a channel you have verified. If the block is regulatory, respect it — playing with an unlicensed operator removes the protections that a licence provides, including complaint handling and responsible-gambling obligations.
